Strategic Workforce Planning across National Borders

The four broad categories of human capital issues that need attention when companies decide where in the world to locate work are labor market data, external talent supply and demand, the employment environment, and flexible labor strategies. Strategic workforce planning (SWP) can direct focus to these areas and, with experience, produce relevant data and analysis. This report describes common challenges in capturing external information and offers 10 recommendations for overcoming them, based on the experiences of SWP leaders and other seasoned practitioners from several companies across various industries.
