Carbon Footprint a Growing Management Concern

The Conference Board survey explores how business is approaching greenhouse gas (GHG) management and integrating it into an overall business strategy. Businesses see increasing public concern about greenhouse gases both a risk and an opportunity. Approximately 75 percent of survey respondents are actively measuring their “carbon footprint.” Just over 50 percent indicate they have a program in place to actively reduce or offset GHG emissions; another third are developing such a program. The report details active measures companies are undertaking to tackle greenhouse gas emissions.
