Corporate India and Multinationals Engage in the Community

The Council on Community Involvement — India was successfully launched on 13 October in New Delhi. The excellent response showed the extent to which corporate India and multinational companies are actively committed to take forward this important mandate in the India region with The Conference Board. At an Open Roundtable Luncheon, participants had the opportunity to discuss the main challenges and key issues, and to exchange company experience.

A total of 25 executives attended from Associate member companies in India — including Infosys Technologies, Tata Steel, Tata Sons, Mahindra Group, Unilever India, Satyam Computers, Shell India, Agilent Technologies, Citigroup India, IBM India, ICICI Bank, KPMG India, Coca-Cola India, Intel, India Oil Corp. Participants were from various corporate functions including board directors, executive vice presidents, corporate communication heads, HR leaders, and CSR directors — all of which added richness and diversity to the discussions.
