Henry M. Silvert

Henry Silvert

Dr. Henry M. Silvert is Research Associate and Statistician in Human Capital at The Conference Board.

Silvert specializes in research and survey design and quantitative analysis. Silvert contributes to regular reports by The Conference Board including the Consumer Internet Barometer, CEO Confidence Survey, and the annual CEO Challenge and compensation reports. He is also the co-author of the 2005 and 2006 report on Mid-Market CEO Challenge and the 2005 report From Risk Management to Risk Strategy: Mid-Markets. His responsibilities also include survey research on business and education, the corporate response to employees living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic and terminal illnesses, the maturing workforce, leadership, and talent development.

Before joining The Conference Board, Silvert was an Assistant Professor at William Paterson University, a field supervisor for the Nutrition Consortium of New York State, Inc., and a data analyst for the National Development and Research, Inc. (NDRI). He has also written and presented research on the social impact of energy consumption in the United States, social and economic development in Latin America, and HIV/AIDS.

Silvert spent three years at Oxford University working toward a bachelor of philosophy degree in Latin American studies and has a doctorate in sociology from New York University.
