2011 Symposium on Corporate Political Spending
On October 20, 2011, The Conference Board Committee on Corporate Political Spending hosted a public symposium to discuss the issues and the steps that corporations can take to participate in the political process in a thoughtful, responsible, and proactive way.
During the symposium, attendees heard from corporate, investor, and legal authorities in the fields of election law, corproate governance, and public policy. Building on The Conference Board Committee on Corporate Political Spending's report, Corporate Political Spending: Policies and Practices, Accountability and Disclosure, which was released in advance copy at the symposium, members of the committee shared how their organizations came to the decisions they did and what their plans are for moving forward through 2012.
