Global Executive Leadership Program

Below is a sample agenda of one of the three modules. The three residential modules (3, two-day modules) will feature a mix of approaches that provide opportunities to get feedback from fellow participants, CEO mentors and program facilitators. The program content is never the same as the individual in attendance will set the key issues to be shared.

Day One

8:30 am - 10:00 am  Global Economic Update: Looking Out Three Years by Bart van Ark
In this informal discussion The Conference Board’s Chief Economist, you’ll get both an update on the drivers of global economic changes and an opportunity to explore how these impact your business.

10:30 am - 12:30 pm  Leaders Make the Future by Bob Johansen
Building on our experience last time, we’ve selected a terrific new book to challenge your thinking.In this session, Bob will spend the first hour sharing the vision of the next ten years. Then in the second half we’ll delve into what that means for you as leaders.

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm  Lunch

1:30 pm - 2:45 pm  Peer Coaching: What I Need to Focus on? How?
Peer coaching is a very effective tool to help one think about a particular issue, challenges and opportunities. Working in small groups, we will begin the process to explore your thinking about your top executive business challenges.

2:45 pm - 3:40 pm  Peer Assist
Through the structured and facilitated dialogue of a peer assist, you will help each other solve current problems of either a business, organizational or career nature. One member will present a challenge and its context, and the rest of the council will share their experiences and insights to help solve the problem.

3:40 pm – 4:00 pm  Networking Break

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm  Lessons Learned from Leading at the Top: Courage, Resilience, Savvy and Influence
Utilizing the experience and perspectives of our CEO-mentors, this session goes beyond the more obvious strategic challenges and capabilities of C-suite leadership. It brings us “inside” the mentor’s own experience to explore several key areas for senior leadership success, including dealing with key stakeholders (such as board members, fellow executives, regulatory agencies and associates).

Day 3

8:30 am – 10:15 am  Peer Coaching: Your Current Business Challenges

10:30 am - 12:00 pm  Peer Assist

1:15 pm – 2:30 pm  Personal Reflections, Feedback to Each Other and Commitments 
Members have an opportunity to reflect on their learning in this program, make recommendations to each other. Additionally, we’ll share commitments and actions to be taken before the next meeting.
