Session 4: Developing a Research Data Infrastructure (Breakout sessions)

Goal, Approach and Outcomes

The goal of this session is to brainstorm answers for the following questions for each of the three topics identified in the morning session.

What data should be collected?
How should the data be collected?
What would businesses get out of it?
What would national policy—makers get out of it?

The approach is to break the attendees into three groups. The organizers will appoint a "facilitator" who will guide the discussion in each group. They will also provide an observer who will be responsible for summarizing the discussion. The summaries will be posted and available as context for discussion in the next session.

The outcome will be used in the white paper.
