Contributions Council

The Contributions Council will provide leadership to advance the practice of corporate philanthropy and to underscore its importance to corporations and society, by: educating Council members, other practitioners and target audiences; identifying key issues; making recommendations to The Conference Board on appropriate areas of research providing regular opportunities for the exchange of information with Council members and with other councils or external groups. Founded in 1950.

Requirements for Membership:

Each candidate for membership must have major executive responsibility for the contributions function. At the time of application for membership the combined corporate and foundation cash contributions program should be at least $10 million per year. Each candidate must submit such information as is requested by the Nominating and Membership Committee to establish eligibility for membership.
