Council of Strategic Planning Executives

The Council is characterized by off-the record exchange of ideas with a network of senior executives. Members get together three times a year to share experiences and ideas in a confidential setting. The group cuts across industries so that issues can be examined from multiple perspectives. The focus is strategic, not tactical. Most important, the Council is a unique roundtable where members can sound out ideas or issues and get views from other executives. Fellow members do not hesitate to differ or ask hard questions. Dialogue is open, informal, and quite lively. Founded in 1983.

Requirements for Membership:

Candidates must hold the senior planning functional responsibility in their firms and have sufficient experience to make continued contributions.
Candidates must be employees of organizations that are Associates of The Conference Board, whose annual revenue exceeds US $2 Billion, and shall not be from firms whose primary business is to provide consulting services.
Candidates must be willing to attend meetings regularly and participate actively in Council activities.
