Topics to be Addressed April 7 – April 8, 2010
Join higher education leaders, corporate diversity practitioners, researchers and policy experts to explore and examine concepts and practices of diversity within colleges and universities in the 21st century. How have social and political shifts impacted vision and strategy as we seek to enhance diversity and foster inclusion within colleges and universities across the United States? How have economic realignments and recent research in the social sciences contributed to challenges and unique opportunities to reframe and advance diversity and inclusion in academe? What are the latest competency models that corporate D&I practitioners have developed to operate in the era of rapid globalization and what can the university community learn from them to enhance their own best practices.
On April 7th and 8th, the Conference Board, in collaboration with Duke University, will hold a provocative and stimulating conference on the beautiful campus of Duke University at the Washington Duke Inn, in Durham North Carolina.
This conference will be of interest to senior level higher education leaders, the corporate community as well as researchers, practitioners and policy makers from higher education, as well as the not–for–profit world. In addition to keynote speakers and panels, there will be opportunities for small group discussions and the exploration of strategic partnerships and collaborations.
