Topics to be Addressed September 16 – September 17, 2009

As the spotlight grows brighter on executive compensation, generating numerous legislative and regulatory initiatives and demands for program redesign, it becomes increasingly difficult to know how to provide the right rewards to the right people. Many experts predict a sea change in what is considered best practices, including changes in pay mix and performance metrics. At the 2009 Executive Compensation Conference, you’ll hear from leading practitioners in the field as well as business and economics thought leaders.

The President of The Conference Board, Gail Fosler, an economist whom The Wall Street Journal has twice named America’s most accurate economic forecaster, will provide an update on the state of the global economy and the likely effect on executive compensation. Suzy Welch will provide a framework to examine the intrusion of government into Board purview over executive compensation and corporate governance matters in today’s challenging climate, decision–making strategies regarding such matters and how to communicate these decisions to shareholders, the media and proxy advisory firms.
