Topics to be Addressed September 16 – September 17, 2009

As the spotlight grows brighter on executive compensation, generating numerous legislative and regulatory initiatives and demands for program redesign, it becomes increasingly difficult to know how to provide the right rewards to the right people. Many experts predict a sea change in what is considered best practices, including changes in pay mix and performance metrics. Most compensation committees are reviewing their current programs, processes, methodologies and consulting relationships. The continuing recession and unprecedented volatility of equity markets makes it challenging to reward executives for solid business performance that may not be reflected in stock prices and raises concerns over retention of key talent. And meanwhile, the time to prepare for a new proxy season under new rules draws ever nearer.

This conference offers a uniquely significant and timely source of practical guidance and opportunity to network and brainstorm with leading directors and executives of major corporations as they re–examine how to design fair, reasonable and effective executive compensation programs and explain them to shareholders.
