Corporate Communications Academy
Who Should Attend
The Conference Board Corporate Communications Academy is a development course for select corporate communications practioners in medium to large businesses and organizations. Candidates are experienced professionals, well-versed in all aspects of the corporate communications function and seeking to prepare for a top job.
The Course
The course will evaluate participants and prepare them for that next step, by:
- addressing their current professional capabilities
- exploring high performance organizations and high impact Corporate Communications departments, and how they get that wayevaluating state of the art strategies and tactics for social media, employee engagement and purpose-driven, documentable results generation
- looking at their personal strengths and weaknesses in the workplace
- enabling a readiness assessment for the individual within their respective organization
- creating a plan to implement in the organization
- benchmarking activities and personal development and preparation against leading and peer organizations
- preparing them with influencing techniques from various case studies and discussions
- accelerating thinking, through presentations and debates with fellow participants
Course Elements

Each curriculum covers preparatory work, self-assessment and organizational readiness assessment, case studies mentoring, and strategy formulation. |

Meetings |
Participants will meet face-to-face over several months. Interactive webcasts on member-selected topics will reinforce and enhance classroom learning. |

Participants will network and share in the collective knowledge of the group. |

Learning Coaches |
In additional sessions, faculty will mentor participants. |
