The Conference Board
Jing Sima-Friedman is an economist at The Conference Board. She joined The Conference Board in 2000 and has since been working in the U.S. and Global Business Cycle Indicators Program. She specializes in business and growth cycle analysis and helped develop The Conference Board Leading Economic Index® (LEI) for the major Asia-Pacific economies including China, Japan, Korea, and Australia. Recently she has taken on a leading role in developing composite economic indexes for India.
In addition to her ongoing research and production of the Asia-Pacific country LEIs, Sima-Friedman also produces and regularly appears on The Conference Board Economics Watch® Emerging Markets View quarterly webcast series, which focus on the measurement of emerging economies and help business leaders understand risks as well as indentify opportunities in emerging markets.
Sima-Friedman received her MBA in finance and investment from Baruch College, CUNY, and her B.A. in economics from the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing.
