Steve is currently the Chief Diversity Officer for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Having developed and led the Company’s Workplace Fairness function since February, 2001, Steve assumed the additional responsibilities of leading the Company’s domestic Diversity function in January, 2005, with added responsibilities for the Company’s global operations in January, 2007. In this role, he is responsible for leading diversity and fairness as a fully integrated part of the Company’s business strategy and all of the Company's people strategies and programs. This includes the development of annual initiatives focused on diversity/fairness education and communications, the Company’s global women’s initiative, the organization’s employee Business Resource Groups, the Company’s alternative dispute resolution process, and the organization’s workplace fairness monitoring programs. During Steve’s tenure, the Company’s workplace fairness programs have been recognized by external organizations as best-in-class. In addition, The Coca-Cola Company has received recognition such as eight consecutive years of a Top 20 ranking in DiversityInc’s “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” list, six consecutive years on Black Enterprise’s Top 40 Companies for Diversity, a perfect score of 100 for six consecutive years on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, and the highest corporate score in the Hispanic Association for Corporate Responsibility’s 2011 Corporate Inclusion Index, to name but a few. Prior to his current role, Steve held a number of key Human Resources roles, including leading the HR function for the Company’s Global Marketing organization. Steve is a graduate of University of Maine, the Leadership Atlanta program, and the former Board Chair for the Equal Employment Advisory Council (EEAC). Additionally, he was the Co-Chair of the 2009 Chief Diversity Officers Forum hosted by the Johnnetta B. Cole Institute for Global Diversity.
