Mal O’Connor, Ph.D.

Mal O’Connor is a Vice President and Principal at CFAR, a private management consulting firm specializing in strategy and organizational development. For over twenty years he has worked with business leaders to create sustainable solutions to complex strategic and operational problems in ways that engage people, strengthen culture and build organizational resilience.
Prior to this role, Mal has held consulting engagements for aerospace, healthcare, insurance, and other industries. He has also held prior speaking engagements with groups like GPSEG (HR executives in the greater Philadelphia area), National Center for State Courts, and numerous healthcare systems throughout the country (an industry in the midst of truly turbulent times).
Mal received a Ph.D. in Folklore from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Cornell University in International Labor Relations, teaching executive education work with global companies and countries like Kuwait, developing their next generation of executives.
