Teresa (Terri) Wilkins is the Director of the Research & Information Library, a unit within the Knowledge Resource Center at Buck Consultants, a global employee benefits and human resource consulting firm headquartered in New York and a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox. Terri has more than 25 years of experience in the information profession managing corporate libraries including information centers at NYNEX, Pitney Bowes and Grumman Aerospace. In addition to leading the research and information services for Buck’s U.S. consulting practices, Terri is a member of Buck’s Information Management & Collaboration team, the group responsible for overseeing internal knowledge management practices at Buck. In addition to her membership on The Conference Board’s Information Research & Management Council (IRMC), Terri is a long-time member of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) and is currently serving as the Chair for SLA’s Insurance & Employee Benefits Division. She has contributed to two white papers released by The Conference Board’s IRMC, “Best Practices in Managing Information Vendor Portfolios” and “How Effective Information Services Can Contribute to the Bottom Line. Terri was a regular contributor to Intelligence Bookshelf, a book review column that appeared in SLA’s Competitive Intelligence Division Bulletin and co-authored the article, Current Awareness Services: A Look at Inquisit & News Tracker that appeared in The CyberSkeptic’s Guide to Internet Research. Terri holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from Saint John’s University and has an American Bar Association approved paralegal certificate in employee benefits.
