A former Colonel in the Sri Lankan Army and professional shooter for 17 years, Pasan took on the challenge of coaching the GB Disabled Target Shooting team.  In just 18 months he built a high performing squad that beat all expectations by delivering a gold winning performance at the Beijing Paralympics.  Pasan himself was recognised by winning a coveted Coach of the Year award.
