Director Diversity & Inclusion
Sheila Johnson has worked with Gap Inc. for 29 years. During this time, she has held several leadership positions with GAP Brand including Training Store Manager and District Manager. She was also part of the Old Navy launch where she held the position of Northeast Regional Manager and opened the first flagship location at 18th Street & 6th Avenue in Manhattan, New York.
Prior to Gap Inc., she worked for a local northern retail chain while attending FIT to earn a degree in Textile Technology. She then joined Macy’s Herald Square where she was a graduate of their Junior Executive Program. In the years to follow, she acquired a SHRM Human Resource Generalist Certificate, SHRM Diversity Train the Trainer Certificate, and a Cornell University Diversity Management Certificate.
In her current role, Sheila supports all departmental work streams, leads Diversity Training for Gap Inc., and provides leadership for Gap Inc.’s Diversity Ambassadors.
