Merck  published its Principles Governing Corporate and Political Action Committee Spending on its company web site and was among the first major companies to structure its policies in accordance with the Center for Political Accountability's Model Code of Conduct for Corporate Political Spending. Today, Merck posts information on its website about corporate political contributions in the United States, Australia and Canada, and the contributions made through the Merck Employees Political Action Committee. The company also discloses dues paid to U.S. trade associations used for lobbying or political activities.
