Julian Kaufmann

Julian Kaufmann is a Senior Fellow, Human Capital at The Conference Board. In this role, Kaufmann supports the Human Capital Practice which includes The Conference Board Human Capital Exchange™, research, conferences, webcasts and programs in a broad spectrum of human capital areas.

In addition to serving as a Senior Fellow, Kaufmann is also President & CEO at The JDK Group, LLC, which provides executive and organization development services for over 30 major global corporations. Based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and Manhattan, Kaufmann performs a diverse range of engagements in the areas of: Strategic Organization Design and Development; Executive Assessment and Development; Talent Management; Executive Team Development; Change Management and Building HR Capability.

Kaufmann was previously Senior Managing Director and Head of Human Resources and Communications for AIG Asset Management, where he led highly successful efforts to retain, rebuild and reward talent in this $400B investment manager. Previous executive roles include VP Global Talent Management & Organization Development for AIG; VP Leadership & Organization Development & Corporate HR for Tyco International; VP Leadership & Organization Development for Time Warner; and Corporate Director, Organization Development & Information Systems-HR for AlliedSignal (now Honeywell).

Kaufmann is co-founder of the CHRO Forum and served on the steering committee for McKinsey’s study on The War for Talent. Kaufmann has also presented at numerous conferences for The Conference Board, Human Resources Planning Society, SHRM and IACPR. Kaufmann holds Bachelors degrees in Economics and Psychology, an MBA and a Certificate in Labor & Industrial Relations, all from the University of Michigan.
