Karl Sanchack, a results oriented leader focused on growth and innovation, is Acting Director for Innovation at Lockheed Martin Corporation. Reporting to the Corporate Vice President, Business Innovation, Mr. Sanchack leads a global research & development team focused on leveraging new ideas to generate shareholder value for Lockheed Martin. His organization encompasses a team of company-wide managers with research internal to the business areas, in academia, and at national laboratories across the country. This team creates and advances the state-of-the-art in innovation management and executes with an objective of maximizing return on R&D investment.
Mr. Sanchack has over 20 years of experience in high technology industries with significant executive management roles. Prior to his current position within Lockheed Martin, he has held positions such as Corporate Innovation Manager, Human Terrain Pathfinder and Chief Technologist, Enterprise Integration Group. Outside of Lockheed Martin, Mr. Sanchack has served as Director of Technology and Services at GlobalEnglish Corporation and Director of Technology at Alignmark (A Thomson Company), which included management of professional services and custom engineering operations.
Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Mr. Sanchack received a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He is also a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Program Management Development Program (PMDP).
