After an unsuccessful stand-up comedy career, Debra started her corporate life as a Frito-Lay Route Driver, delivering potato chips in the city of Detroit. She now has nearly three decades of experience in the consumer goods industry, holding executive positions with the Coca-Cola Company, Frito-Lay, and Jack Daniel’s prior to joining Humana in 2004. She currently is the Corporate Director of Humana’s Leadership Institute, which is dedicated to increasing the impact and contribution of leaders. Debra holds a doctorate degree from George Washington University in Leadership and Organizational Studies; M.A. from Central Michigan University and a B.A. from Michigan State University. She is the author of multiple articles and the book, Executive Women and Leadership.
