The Conference Board will no longer publish the Help-Wanted Advertising Index of print advertising after July 1, 2008.
The Index will continue to be produced for research purposes only.
The Conference Board has made this decision as part of its ongoing commitment to the publication of high quality economic indicators. It remains committed to supplying reliable economic data that has direct relevance to the business community and the public. Because print advertising no longer comprehensively captures changes in labor-market demand, The Conference Board will focus its efforts on other indicators that better reflect today's labor market, such as The Conference Board's monthly Help-Wanted OnLine Data Series™, which measures changes in online job postings and includes newspapers' web-based ads, and other measures in development that will be announced soon.
